Christmas Bunny Contestant #1 – Milo

Rabbit Picture for Christmas

Christmas Bunny Contestant #1 – Milo

Milo came to us 5months ago as his current owener could no longer take care of him.  He was very thin as he needed a dental, didnt know his name and toileted all over my house.  5 months later he's neutered, had a dental and is a changed bunny.

He knows his name and comes when called.  He is an absolute joy to have around the house and is impecably litter trained.

He is a super wonderful bouncy bunny and we are honoured that we gave a rescue bunny a home and that we can share our life with him.

Milo is also a laid back bunny as you can see from the photo.  Its our first Christmas with him and we are all very excited!

Christmas Bunny Contestant #2 – Bailey

Bunny Picture with Christmas Tree

2nd Prize Winner

Christmas Bunny Contestant #2 – Bailey

Bailey was dismayed to see that there were no treats on our Christmas
tree within her reach; however, it didn't take her too long to find
the willow ball hanging from a low branch!

This Christmas, Bailey has asked Santa for some more toys that she can
chew and toss, and to make sure that all the shelter bunnies find new
homes (with lots of toys, of course!).

Christmas Bunny Contestant #3 – Trembles

3rd Prize Winner

Christmas Bunny Contestant #3 – Trembles

Trembles is a holland lop boy who is about 2 years old. He loves
scratches on his head, sitting on the couch, stealthily making his way
out of his area (the livingroom) to be found under his mommy's bed
rummaging and giving tons of kisses. He is extremely adventurous
because of his curious nature but is so very patient that many a child
has had their way with him while he lovingly endures the ear tugging
they put him through. He is truly a cherished and loved part of the
family and makes any day a better one!

This picture came about because all of my friends send me pictures of their children for the holidays. In the same good spirit I had to make a picture of my furry little baby to proudly send out. After many , many, many (did I mention many) photoshoots with Trembles I had the perfect pose. It was taken in the kitchen the night before Thanksgiving while my sister and I were sitting by the oven. Trembles came to keep us company and I took a quick picture with my phone. With the help of my genius friend Jeremy who put a little Christmas spirit and used one of his pictures as the background we were able to make a whimsical card to show how very adventurous my little Trembles is. On the top of a snowy mountain he almost matches, Trembles wishes you all a wonderful holiday season!

Christmas Bunny Contestant #6 – Cocoa (Puff)

Lop Rabbit at Christmas with Santa Hat

Christmas Bunny Contestant #6 – Cocoa (Puff)

Cocoa is a Chocolate Mini-Lop I rescued from a foster home in Avon, CT.  Normally, I don't really like lop rabbits, but when I saw this little cutie, I had to have her. She prefers a cage (open whenever she wants out) and loves to have her head neck and ears scratched.

Every holiday or so, I prop her up with hats (I have quite a collection now) to take pictures. My wife thinks I'm nuts. Cocoa takes it all in stride, cooperating and even posing for the pictures. I have had multiple rabbits, and Cocoa is the most sweet, lovable, and cuddly. She even gets along with the housecats!

Christmas Bunny Contestant #7 – Skittles

Photos of Rabbits at Christmas Time

Christmas Bunny Contestant #7 – Skittles

Skittles is 3 1/2 years old and he loves to be photographed. Since he was a baby I (his mother) introduced him to my camera so that way he would be used to being photographed. I am currently a photographer at the New England Institute of Art and and I practice by using my bunny at my model. Skittles loves to pose whenever you tell him your going to take a picture. If you tell him your going to take a close-up photo then he would run and put his face in the camera.

Christmas Bunny Contestant #8 – Walter & Faith

English Lop Eared Rabbit Christmas Picture

Christmas Bunny Contestant #8 – Walter & Faith

Walter and Faith are rescued bunnies we took in earlier this year.  They are English Lops, with long ears that drag the ground. Walter traveled to us all the way from Vancouver HRS in British Columbia (we live in southern California) and Faith found her way to us from Northern California when she was just 3 months old,

The bunnies are bonded now and 8 month old Faith is just as big as 18 month old Walter! She's going to be a big girl. They are a party of "wild and crazy" bunnies, causing havoc wherever they go!

Conversely, both bunnies are real lovers and enjoy being cuddled and watching TV with us. We adore them and are so blessed to have them in our lives.

  1. Hello, I tried to enter but my file size was too big. Does anyone know how to make the file size smaller or is there any other way that I could enter? Please help I really want to enter! :)

  2. They all win….!  I have had 18 rabbits in my life, and all of them have been sweet and charming in their own way.  If you care about rabbits, you could  contact the Rabbit Sancturay in Simpsonville, in South Carolina.  Caroline Gilbert could really use your help–she has over a 100 rabbits to care for!

  3. It would be nice to see all the entries.  Since we did not receive a confirmation after downloading the photos, how do we know you actually received our photos?  What other explanation would there be for my little Scooter & Buddy not making the Top 10?  LOL .
Just love ALL the bunny photos & they are ALL winners to me because they have very loving families who think the world of them.   HOPPY HOLIDAYS!

  4. Yes, it was difficult to pick they were all adorable and I love bunnies even if they aren't the best looking in the world, personality counts for alot and I don't know any of these bunnies personally, Izzy and Bubbles caught my eye as they sat so patiently with the fake snow on their faces, posing and just looking sweet as can be, also I thought the decor was the best!

  5. Vote for Bailey, #2!  She will donate toys to the House Rabbit Network foster bunnies if she wins a gift certificate, so that all the rescue buns can have Christmas presents this year :)

  6. It was a tough decision…they are all so cute.  However, Coca just looked like she was looking at me….It was between her and Izzy and Bubbles.  Sookie also pulled at my heart strings….Milo and Bailey were close contenders…..picking only one, was painful :(
